Old Wilson Tennis Racquets from 2004

Hope everyone enjoyed the post on the old Babolat racquets from a 2004 catalogue. I had some good feedback and so I thought I would do a post on the Wilson tennis racquets from that same catalogue.

Here it is:

Wilson Hyper Hammer 3.3 115

Ideal for players with a compact stroke style and slower swing speeds. Lightweight frame with extra length (28 inches) provides extra power and manoeuvrability. Terrific for doubles players and singles players looking for more power.

Wilson Hyper Hammer 4.0 110

The Wilson Hyper Hammer 4.0 is a perfect racquet for 3.0-4.5 intermediate level players who want a light weight racquet with the manoeuvrability provided by a head-heavy feel. Wilson’s Stable Step frame technology centres the racquet’s stiffness in the portion that bends during ball contact, providing extra stability and power. With this racquet you don’t have to choose between power and control because it produces major levels of both in a lightweight, deftly manoeuvrable frame. Who says you can’t have it all?

Wilson Hyper Hammer 5.2 95

An easy-swinging racquet from the baseline, it weighs about 10.6 ounces and are nearly evenly balanced. The fairly open string pattern allows for good spin potential and the addition of kevlar provides good damping for an overall comfortable feel. These aren’t the first racquets with the 5.2 Swing Index rating but are different enough to avoid any confusion with their predecessors. Slightly heavier and less head-heavy than your typical Hammer prototype it will benefit 4.0-6.0 baseline and all-court players who want a slightly lighter racquet for increased manoeuvrability.

Wilson Hyper Hammer 5.3 110

Touring pros and top recreational players use the Hyper Hammer 5.3 for its powerful yet forgiving feel. Built for players with a moderate swing, the Hyper Hammer 5.3 uses Hyper Carbon for increased torsional stability.

Today, Wilson has combined the heritage of those two breakthroughs with ISOGRID technology. The result is Series H, a line of racquets that is raising the performance bar once again. Series H racquets feel rock solid and explode with power.
